The New Carlisle City Council and Clark County commissioners approved an enterprise zone agreement that will provide a 10-year, 75 percent tax abatement for the new construction, said Tom Hale, enterprise zone manager for Clark County. The property tax abatement is worth about $400,000 over the 10-year agreement.
The expansion of Fab Metals is expected to be up to an $8 million investment for the region, bringing approximately 20 new full-time employees and the construction of a new 40,000-square-foot facility. The project is expected to break ground in early January 2018, with a completion date of March or April 2018.
Fab Metals, founded in 1986, is a family-owned company that uses a team of engineers and manufacturing specialist to evaluate, design and manufacture prototypes while utilizing the latest in CAD/CAM Design and CNC manufacturing processes and equipment in the metal fabrication industry.
